PLAYWRITING

Shannon’s new comedic play NAPOLEON’S WH*RE SISTER successfully debuted at the 2025 Hollywood Fringe Festival!

When Napoleon Bonaparte’s scandalous little sister Pauline was meant to pose as the virginal goddess Diana for a renowned sculptor, she shocked the empire by posing a lá Venus instead — totes nude. (ALL OF THIS IS TRUE!)

This feminist comedy takes place at the party where the statue is unveiled.

The play sold out its final three shows with rave audience and press reviews and award recognition including:

  • WINNER: Playwright’s Promise Award - Inkwell Theater

  • NOMINATED: Fringe Award for Best Comedy

  • NOMINATED: Loud Karma Playwright Award

  • NOMINATED: Theatre Theater Playwright Award

Shannon Corbeil performs THE JUMPER at The Ledge Theatre.

Shannon was selected to write the book for an original one-woman show based on her true experiences in the military. Through New Musicals Inc., she collaborated with songwriter Natalie Rebecca Lovejoy to create THE JUMPER, which premiered at the 2023 Hollywood Fringe Festival.

SHORT FILMS

Her short film LIBRARY SOULMATE, which she wrote, directed, produced, and starred in, was an official selection at New Filmmakers Los Angeles and the Nomadic International Film Festival, where it was nominated for Outstanding Film.

Shannon’s comedy sketch TRUTH OR DARE made waves with its female-positive sexual content — and won the Indi.com comedy competition. To this day, this film continues to reflect Shannon’s comedy stylings: focusing on uplifting women while pushing some boundaries just enough that she’ll share it with her grandmother but not without a warning!

An innocent game of Truth or Dare escalates quickly. Very quickly. Indi "Show Us You're Funny" winner, written and directed by Shannon Corbeil.
