‘CORBEIL’ rhymes with ‘SORBET’

Shannon Corbeil is a writer and actor most recently known for her work as ‘Officer Sheff’ on ABC’s The Rookie and ‘Ensign Tripp’ on CBS’s SEAL Team.

She will appear in the Duplass Brothers Productions upcoming film The Knife, co-written by Mark Duplass (Room 104), appearing alongside Manny Jacinto (The Good Place), Melissa Leo (The Fighter), and co-writer/director Nnamdi Asomugha (The Good Nurse).

A U.S. Air Force veteran, she served as an Intelligence Officer in South Korea and the National Security Agency. She has extensive experience writing and producing military stories. She has written and hosted hundreds of informational videos about military trivia with bylines on We Are The Mighty, Business Insider, and Military.com — her content has reached tens of millions of viewers across the globe.

Shannon’s comedy pilot BLACK MARKET SPERM placed in the Top 10% at the Slamdance Film Festival Screenwriting Competition. Her drama feature EVERY REASON received an 8 on the Black List and was honored as a semi-finalist for the AITAF Bridge Award for Screenwriting. Her pilot DREAMSCAPE was honored as a semi-finalist for the Screencraft Sci-Fi/Fantasy Screenwriting Award.

After her military service, Shannon taught yoga and pole dance as she returned home to Los Angeles to pursue her professional career in the entertainment industry.

Shannon recently performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. with Diavolo: Architecture in Motion and completed a year-long screenwriting program at the Writers Guild Foundation. She is an ambassador for the non-profit organization Pin-Ups for Vets which raises money to help hospitalized veterans.
